Happy New Year

Happy new year 2007! Nothing happened here, I spent my time this year in front of computer and chatting with my friend at Yahoo Messenger. At least I ended the last year by listening to 1. Mizuki Nana – [innocent starter #01] innocent starter 4:41. One of greatest anime OP I ever listened. ^^

Btw, my deepest condolences to Bangkok’s New Year bombing victims. It was very frightening from what I read. Multiple bombing at the same day. I hope the culprits will be arrested soon

And this line will end my very ordinary “happy new year” greeting from me. I’m not in mood for blogging now. My mood seems unstable right now because of my Internet connection. My download become very slow now. T_T I hope my parents will let me to change from current ISP.

WordPress’s Dashboard become more faster?

I’m just realized that loading Dashboard has become more faster now. This is what I hoped.. faster access to Dashboard. ^^ Previously, it was very slow to enter Dashboard in my connection, because it was using HTTPS protocol. >_<

Indonesian Internet is dying!

Maybe you already know about the Taiwan earthquake that happened 26 December ago. My deepest condolences to the victims. It was happened after 2 years tsunami in Aceh. I hope there won’t be any disaster like Aceh’s tsunami. >_<

The aftereffects from the earthquake is as you can read from the title. Almost every international link from any ISPs in Indonesia are down with those undersea fiber optic cables. Right now maybe some ISPs are already using satellite link as backup. I’m lucky because my ISP is not affected by this earthquake. I wonder what connection does my ISP use? I think my ISP international connection are not going through Taiwan or they were using satellite? I dunno.. ^^

From what I read from local news website, every ISP in Indonesia are using fiber optic as primary backbone connection and satellite as backup. After Taiwan’s earthquake, the undersea fiber optics are down so every international connection are rerouted to satellite backup. It was very crowded up there I think. Clogged up like a stuffed pipe.

Well.. this disaster is totally unrelated to my Internet connection slowness. As you can see from some previous entry, I already been suffering with this f***ed up 3 KB/s since I got my Internet connection back online. If I complain to technical support tomorrow, I can guarantee they will tell this Taiwan’s earthquake as excuse. >_<

It was very troubling to depend on another nation backbone. I hope in the future we will have our own backbone. Good luck to every diver in South China Sea who trying to fix those fiber optics. ^^

Command center back online! ^^

Yay! Long time no see, minna-san. At last my Internet connection is back! (and of course my DFI Lanparty NF4 UT Ultra-D)

So.. what story I want to share today? Despite that I already RMA’ed my motherboard, I can’t use any USB devices now! >_< I have reformatted my C: drive and reinstalled Windows XP, but still the USB won’t working. Everytime I connect an USB device like my Asus Xitepad or Zen Vision M (removable disk mode), Windows detected those devices as “Unknown Device”, and a popup baloon from system tray said “USB Device Not Recognized”. I already installed the driver and my gamepad still won’t run. The same thing also happened to my Zen Vision M. Aww.. what should i do? RMA my motherboard again?

It was happened yesterday. I’m still on school and it was raining. Usually I left my computer running at home. I didn’t even think this tragedy would be happened to me. My computer was struck by lightning! >_< I didn’t know until I came home. As usual, I turned on the monitor and moving my mouse to show the login window. Nothing appeared on my screen. I tried to turn off my computer from power button, nothing happened too. So, I turned off my computer from the power supply switch.

At first I thought my computer was overheating, so I let my computer rest for a few minutes. After that, I try to turn on my computer. And.. my BIOS won’t load! Usually when booting up the computer, there must a beep sound and the BIOS screen with “Award” logo was shown on the monitor, but it didn’t happened.  I turned off my computer again and plug out the power from power outlet. 

I opened my computer case. Nothing strange inside the case. Diagnostic LEDs when my computer still on is normal and no burnout smell. I try everything I could do to the motherboard like using the safe boot jumper, clear CMOS, and unattach the BIOS battery, but.. nothing happened. My motherboard, specifically the BIOS is dead!

And, how I typed this blog entry? I’m on Internet cafe right now. Working my school assignments and typing this entry at the same time. The assignments must be given to teacher at tomorrow. Next Saturday or Sunday I’ll try to have replacement for my motherboard. Of course I couldn’t say my motherboard is broken because of lightning. Must lied a little to the dealer. ^^

Well then, I must continue on my school assignments. Bye!

English blog..

Aw.. maybe it’s a bad idea to create an English blog (well.. it’s still partial conversion from Indonesia to English), but why I’m still doing this? I’m praticing for English end term assignment on my school. One of prerequisite to graduate is to make a English written paper. One thing that made me very concerned for this assignment is the paper will be judged by native English speakers. I must make a presentation (of course in English) and explain it in front of them. I can’t neither write nor speak fluently in English. I think by writing this English blog, my skill on English will be improved. Wish me luck. ^^ Anyway, any comments will be appreciated.

Unlimited School Works

Some of them are completely done
And the others were done with many failure
Have withstood pain to stay overnight
Yet, these are the real life of a high school student
So as I do my assignments, “Unlimited School Works”.

This is what I feel when the 5th semester is only a few months away. Must do many end term assignments.. >_< Don’t have much time to fill this blog, so I’m sorry guys.

Arrgh! Tugas numpuk! >_

Kenyataan 2 minggu belakangan ini seperti judulnya, banyak tugas! Kurikulum KTSP bikin repot aja.. >_<

Ada apakah gerangan? Pertama.. untuk kelas 3 di sekolah gw ini harus bikin karya tulis untuk tugas akhir biar lulus. Masih wajar sih menurut gw, namun.. mari lihat dua pelajaran lainnya, sosiologi dan komputer. Ada tugas bikin website! >_< Untuk yg pelajaran komputer kelompok gw udah selesai, cuma yg sosiologi aja nih gw agak ga tega, desain layout akhirnya ga sesuai permintaan teman-teman. Duh, bingung deh gw.. skill gw terbatas tetapi kenapa gw yg disuruh jd webmaster nya? Ngerti komputer belum tentu bisa web design, skill gw terbatas di web design!

Belum selesai penderitaan, tambah lagi pelajaran mulok (muatan lokal) untuk kelas IPS yg muncul seminggu yg lalu. Muatan lokalnya pelajaran ekonomi dan.. tugas lagi! Ga ngumpulin = ga dapat nilai rapot. Tugasnya bikin kliping atau laporan ttg lembaga-lembaga ekonomi internasional yg ada di Jakarta. Senin depan harus udah jadi konsepnya untuk dikonsultasikan ke gurunya, dan harus dikumpulin sebelum UAS.

Lalu, apa saja yg gw lakukan seminggu ini? Maen Prism Ark sampai jam 2 pagi. Asik jg maen game ADV klo ngerti omongannya, walaupun pas-pasan translasi pake AGTH + Atlas. Akhirnya tamat juga jalan ceritanya Priecia. ^^ Jd inget tipe-tipe karakter seperti Shana (Shakugan no Shana) atau Louise (Zero no Tsukaima) klo ngeliat sifatnya Priecia. Mungkin review game ini atau ringkasan per chapter cerita akan menyusul klo ada waktu.

Kalau begini terus, apa bakal selesai ya tugas-tugas gw? Duh.. susah jg sih ngebagi waktu. Dorongan untuk main game selalu saja ada. Harus bagaimana ya gw?

Ular naga panjangnya…

Ya begitulah, hari pertama masuk sekolah setelah lebaran, ada acara yg disebut Halal bi Halal, jangan tanya artinya apa.. gw sendiri jg ngga tau arti dr 2 kata itu apaan. Ketemu teman-teman di sekolah lagi. Biasa aja sih klo untuk gw.. Jam pertama dimulai dengan briefing dari wali kelas. Huaa.. maksudnya apa ini, pelajaran ditambah 2, keterampilan akuntansi komputer dan mulok.. apa ya tadi mulok (muatan lokal)nya? Lupa.. Kemudian gw udah ga lari Jum’at lagi.. Jadi masuk pagi jam 06:15 langsung belajar tambahan, tapi katanya jam pelajaran olahraga mau ada lagi! TIDAAAAAAAAAAK! Lari pagi sudah cukup buat gw! Klo olahraga maen bola-bola gede sama senam gw paling ga suka.. >_<

Lalu ada apa dengan kalimat “I smiled so much my face hurts.”? Ya.. td jam pertama cuma 15 menit, lalu semua penghuni sekolah disuruh ke lapangan untuk apel pagi. Panas banget padahal masih pagi. >_< Standar lah apelnya, cuma amanat dr pembina upacara, abis itu kasih hormat. Hehehe.. iseng-iseng gw tadi hormat ala prajurit ZAFT di Gundam SEED. Apel diakhiri dengan.. salam-salaman. Ini dia yg gw sebut ular naga panjang. Klo dapet barisan belakang keliatan banget deh, dari guru-guru sampe barisan depan maju salam-salamin teman sebelahnya, trus mengarah kebelakang.. hueh, pegel lah tangan dan muka klo sambil senyum dan ngomong “Maafin yah.. ^^”. Untunglah gw biasa baris di barisan terdepan. Males nungguin di belakang.. ^^

oranganeh memasak kwetiau!

Yap betul! Hari ini gw ikutan membantu Ibu gw memasak kwetiau. Kwetiaunya untuk dibawa ke acara temennya Ibu gw, ya.. setidaknya sekeluarga disisain sedikit lah. Dimulai dari ngerebus sayur-sayurannya, seinget gw ada toge.. selain itu gw lupa nama sayurannya apa aja. Kemudian menghaluskan bumbu-bumbu, seperti merica dan bawang putih. Asik jg ngulek-ngulekin bumbu. ^^ Setelah semua itu selesai, wajan disiapin trus nyalain api di kompor. Tuangin mentega untuk nanti menumis bumbu yg udah diulek dan setelah ditumis, masukin isi kwetiaunya dari daging sampe sayurannya. Diaduk-aduk.. sampe menteganya tinggal dikit, lalu dikasih air sampe kyk jd sop gitu. Nah.. baru dimasukin deh kwetiaunya yg udah dicuci pake air panas biar ga nempel-nempel. Penuh wajannya.. >_< Diaduk-aduk lagi, terus tambah kecap asin dan manis secukupnya. Minyak wijen juga.. gw td nyoba nuangin minyak wijennya kebanyakan. Heran gw sama Ibu gw, bisa nuangin minyaknya itu bisa rapi dan ga langsung bocor banyak kyk gw tadi. Penyedap terakhir.. arak yg sebelumnya gw sebut di post blog sebelumnya. Ang Ciu semacamnya lupa nama tepatnya.. baunya aneh. Setelah diaduk-aduk lagi.. ini dia bagian enaknya kerja di dapur, jadi beta tester makanan! Kurang asin? Tambahin garam. Kurang coklat kwetiaunya? Tambahin kecap manis. Asik juga ternyata.. ^^

Ini dia hasil akhir dr kwetiau dengan sedikit tetesan keringat dari oranganeh. Hehehe… banyak bener ya? Masaknya jg pake wajan extra gede. ^^ Disisain lumayan banyak buat keluarga td. Kuenyaaang.. ^^ Rasanya ya.. standar kwetiau lah, tp bagaimanapun masakan rumah harus tetap dibilang enak.
Sang koki “oranganeh”, ga ada yg lebih aneh daripada pake handuk di pinggang sebagai apron.
